Band Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Why we like it: These guys underwent a name change recently. They were Coastal but due to some shit they had to change their name. Now they go by Placeholder (yes, that’s an Elliott Smith reference). Placeholder started playing music in March 2011, released their first EP in May 2011 and recorded their LP “Nothing is Pure” released on Better Days Records in September. Normally when bands release things this fast it tends to be lackluster at best. These guys have been on a hot streak so far. There’s a heavy Knapsack influence here. Nothing but good things to say about these guys. Check out “Nothing Is Pure” and a Village Basement Session they filmed a few months ago! You’ll love it.
